Embracing our Affirmation of Life Together . . .
Dear Saint Mark Disciples,
Until the pandemic hit in March of 2020, the 2020 Council of Stewards worked diligently on a church covenant to guide our life together. This church covenant, which we refer to as An Affirmation of Life Together will be especially important for us as a church as we come out of the pandemic – to discern better who we are as a church, and what our future ministry will look like. In addition, it will help to guide us in our interactions with one another as we consider the business of the called 2022 General Conference.
The Council of Stewards fully adopted the Affirmation of Life Together at our March 2021 meeting and decided to have a formal celebration of it during worship at this year’s Saint Mark Festival on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
We invite you to use it as a guide and a reminder of how Christ wants us to live and be together in community under Saint Mark's big tent of diverse beliefs and personalities. We are one in Christ and one in ministry and mission to the world.
